April 26th Debate Now Available on YouTube
5/8/2012 5:23:01 PM

I want to thank Pitchfork Patriot and his daughters for making this possible. They took time out of their evening to come and record the debate standing on their feet for over 2 hours while we had the luxury of being seated. Visit the You Tube site often because Mark is downloading more of the video and working with a slow computer. It is taking quite of bit of time for Mark to get the whole video to download on You Tube.

Once again to all of those who made this event a success - Bob the owner of Fandango City Palace,  Pitchfork Patriot aka as Mark and his daughters,  Jannette Berry, Kathy O'Brian, Dorla Patterson, Alfred, Denise and Marissa Hernandez, Nora Weber and Julie Watts. If I left anyone out please forgive me.

2012 March 22 - Bakersfield Tea Party General Monthly Meeting
3/12/2012 7:01:40 PM

When:   Thursday, March 22, 2012, from 6:00pm until 8:30pm

Where:  Fandango City Palace, 3510 Wible Road, Bakersfield CA

Meeting Agenda:

This month our guest speaker will be Deanne Martin-Soares.  Deanne is a wife, mother, small business owner, a practicing activist and the coordinator for the Tulare-Visalia Tea Party for the last 3 years.  Deanne is very knowledgeable on healthcare with a 23 year career as a Registered Nurse in multiple areas. Her goal is to be Norma Ray of the Sustainable Agenda and she is well on her way to achieving this goal.

You will learn how to be prepared to fight the Delphi method that is being used to push Agenda 21 on us, the unsuspecting public.  Deanne has been there, done that and continues to do this at any Delphi meetings she has attended.

CA will more than likely not have a say in who the Republican nominee will be.  However, we can make a difference in the way our local and state governments are being run. Now is the time to get involved if you haven't already done so. We cannot expect changes to be made if we depend on a small number of patriots.  United we stand, divided we fall.

Feel free to bring your family members, neighbors and friends.

Want to get something off your chest or have an great idea?  Then you will have your opportunity with the Soapbox Lightening Round.

There will be a small prize giveaway for the people who come to me with the correct answer, you will have to give me the answer as you are signing in.  Who said, "There are risks and costs to a program of action, but they are far less than the long-range risks and costs of comfortable inaction." I will know that you read all of the information regarding this meeting. ;)

See you on the 22nd of March.

2012 February 23 - Bakersfield Tea Party General Monthly Meeting
2/15/2012 4:47:09 AM

When:   Thursday, February 23, 2012, from 6:00pm until 8:30pm

Where:
Fandango City Palace, 3510 Wible Road, Bakersfield CA

Meeting Agenda:
Please join the Bakersfield Tea Party in welcoming Linda Paine of the Election Integrity Project (EIP). During the last election voter fraud played a major role in determining the outcome of some very key races here locally and some very good candidates lost because of it. Linda has been working diligently on curbing voter fraud and restoring the integrity in our election process.

Election Integrity Projects Mission Statement: “California Election Integrity Project is a group of citizen volunteers seeking to fulfill our responsibility to actively participate in our Republic and ensure the integrity of the process that protects our freedoms and our way of life. We seek to protect government of, by and for the people by maintaining an active role in the part of government that empowers us with our most basic right ~ the right to choose our representatives by vote.”

Bakersfield Tea Party member Richard Holdcraft's small group has been working on cleaning up the voter rolls here locally and as November approaches, it will be important that we step up our efforts to minimize voter fraud and to insure that “we the people” do not miss more opportunities to elect liberty loving, virtuous candidates into office.

Now more than ever “the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave, and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature." James Garfield (1877)

It is time we become less tolerate of ignorance, recklessness and corruption by restoring the “integrity” in our election process.

BAKERSFIELD TEA PARTY

High Speed Rail
2/8/2012 8:31:26 PM

Fellow Patriots,

On February 7, 2012, the important issue of the High Speed Rail (HSR) project was brought before the Kern County Board of Supervisors. They listened to various agencies including the HSRA, along with public comments first in support and then in opposition of the HSR from the public. Julie Watts one of our administrators read our resolution opposing the HSR followed by other BTP members to the county board members.  Each board member then made their own personal comments regarding the HSR project. After each member made their final comment, Supervisor Maggard made the motion to approve in the matter of: "Opposed To Construction Of The CA High-Speed Rail System As Currently Presented In The 2012 Draft Business Plan". Supervisor McQuiston then seconded the motion and a vote was then taken by the board members.

YES, another victory to the patriots of the Bakersfield Tea Party!

Note to board members:   The BTP are watching how you vote on critical issues such as the HSR.

Please call the following District Supervisors and THANK them for opposing the HSR:

Jon McQuiston – County of Kern First District Supervisor - (661) 868-3650

Zack Scrivner – County of Kern Second District Supervisor - (661) 868-3660

Mike Maggard – County of Kern Third District Supervisor - (661) 868-3670

Please call the following District Supervisors and LET THEM KNOW WE ARE WATCHING HOW THEY VOTE ON CRITICAL ISSUES LIKE THE HSR AND WE ARE DISAPPOINTED:

Ray Watson – County of Kern Fourth District Supervisor - (661) 868-3680
