This is how the debate will go:
· The candidates will be allowed a 5 minute opening statement.
· Index cards will be available for you to write down your questions before the meeting gets under way, questions will apply to all of the candidates.
· Following their opening statements, your questions will be asked by Alfred Hernandez who will moderate the debate, each candidate will be given two minutes to respond.
· Turns will be given as to which candidate will be answering the questions.
· At the end question period, each candidate will be allowed 3 minutes to make a closing summary.
A table will be set up for the candidates to put their campaign material on for your convenience, please do your homework and come prepared. Two of these candidates will be sitting on the Kern County Board of Supervisors and making important decisions regarding our community!
